Beech - light in colour, pink hues. A very popular wood used in kitchenware
Maple - a creamy coloured, durable wood. Wood can vary in colour, white gold and silvery undertones to even bluey green streaks
American Cherry - warm amber, golden brown, with straight close grain. Can have flashes of pink
Black Walnut - rich and chocolatey with striking grain. A personal favourite wood to turn and use in the kitchen. It has an attractive natural aroma as well as a beautiful high end look.
Rosewood - a dark, dense, heavy wood with a deep brown with an almost purple undertone
Ebony - super special and luxurious. A very heavy pin with a lot of presence and beauty. Naturally jet black
Cocobolo - has a wide of variety of colours, ranging from yellow, orange, red, and shades of brown with streaks of black. This two toned rolling pin is a one off and very special, showing the pale yellow of the sapwood to the deep reddish orange of the heartwood. This pieces price is reflective of the beauty of the wood and the high value of Cocobolo.
